Ferrari F12 Berlinetta unveiled – 730BHP 6.3l V12

Those are the stunning headline figures of the new Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, the replacement for the 599. It follows the new Ferrari family design, as seen with the 458 Italia and the FF, of curved front lights with “fish face” grill. 0-62 is done in 3.1 seconds, and it is said that the 0-124 is 8.5 seconds which is astonishing for a car that is not an out and out speed freak. This is just as comfortable driving across Europe as driving Fiorano.

The engine is magnificent, and I cannot wait to hear it, as the 6.3 litre V12 revs to an outrageous 8700rpm. As mentioned in the title the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta’s engine produces 730BHP. Of side note this engine is said to be used in a higher state of tune for the upcoming Enzo replacement. 730BHP just isn’t enough nowadays apparently.

Like the looks, or think it is too messy? Tell us in the comments. Either way, I think this car will be remembered for its performance not its looks. It’s nice to see both Ferrari and Lamborghini bringing out new V12 engines. They could be the last of a dying breed.
